Darcy went to the door, clutching the valuable piece of paper.

“Damn you, Darcy,” said Wickham under his breath.

It was just loud enough for Darcy to hear. He turned at the door and raised his top hat with a comical grin.

“Have a pleasant evening, Wickham. Good night.”

He took the short walk back to the house and went to find Lizzy. She was in their bed chamber getting ready for dinner.

“I have it, Lizzy,” he said, holding up the piece of paper. “I have the man’s name and address.”
